New York Philharmonic Concert in the Park

Tonight's concert has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
Due to the weather forecast for thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, and out of concern for the safety of the audience and the musicians, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, in consultation with the NYPD, the Central Park Conservancy, and the New York Philharmonic, has made the decision to cancel this evening's performance of the New York Philharmonic on the Great Lawn of Central Park. The concert will not be rescheduled.
Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the evening's program, which includes:
Nielsen Maskarade Overture Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 Grieg Selections from Peer Gynt Liszt Les Preludes
Location: Great Lawn
Wetside - West 81st or 86th Streets at Central Park West. Eastside - East 79th or 85th Streets at Fifth Avenue
Fee: Free
Details All shows will be followed by fireworks by Bay Fireworks. Bring a blanket, a picnic and some friends. For the best seats, try to arrive a couple of hours before the start of the show.
