Central Park Film Festival: The Taking of the Pelham 1 2 3

With the theme of "Iconic New York," the 8th Annual Central Park Film Festival comes to Mineral Springs, just north of the Sheep Meadow, mid-park at 69th Street.

On Wednesday, August 25th, The Taking of the Pelham 1 2 3, a remake of the classic 1970s flick about a criminal (John Travolta) who hijacks a New York City subway train, will be screened. Dispatcher Walter Graber (Denzel Washington) tries to gain control of the situation in this intense crime thriller.

Rain or shine, the movie will start at 8 PM; gates open at 6:30 PM.
