Harlem Meer Social Hour: Woodland Walk
Instead of the traditional Harlem Meer Social Hour, the Central Park Conservancy is doing things a bit differently this month.
On Thursday, August 19 at 6:30 PM, adults are invited to head to the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center by the Harlem Meer to mingle with fellow park-lovers. After the usual complimentary refreshments, guests will take a guided walk through the North Woods.
Led by Regina Alvarez, Central Park Conservancy Director of Horticulture and Woodland Management, the walk will highlight the serenity of Central Park during the sunset. Waterfalls and the sounds of crickets will be in the background as guests see birds, butterflies and other creatures along the way.
