Solstice Celebration RSS

When: Dec 18, 2009; 2:00 PM-4:00 PM

Location: At the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center (located inside the Park at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues)

The Central Park Conservancy teams with storyteller Regina Ress during the darkest day of the year for candle-making from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm and stories about the beautiful winter holidays from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm.  The Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas and the New Year are all recognized through stories and candle light!  Bring the family down to the Dana Discovery Center for a cross-cultural celebration that invites the light to return!

(If you can't make it to candle-making; don't stay home! Drop in anytime before 3:00 pm to enjoy Regina's performance; candles for the procession are provided)
