The panel of judges closely examined the 30 Finalists and, after careful deliberation, realized that picking only three was just not possible. Instead, there are five winners this time around: one first place, three second place and one third place. Each winning photo captures the serene beauty of a Central Park Winter.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in the Winter 2009 Photo contest. The rapidly approaching deadline for entering photos in the Spring 2010 Photo Contest is on Saturday, May 22nd. Warm-weather lovers should note that CentralPark.com starts accepting entries for the Summer 2010 Photo Contest on Monday, June 21st. Click here for a list of prizes

Waiting Out the Winter, by PattyA
The stoic and resilient ducks and geese of the Reservoir brace themselves against the harsh winter winds and storms. Snow falling on the day, the city buildings in the background appear to be in slumber. Kudus to the glory of nature!
