Wedding Ceremony FAQs
|
- Q: What do we do if there is bad weather on the day of our ceremony?
-
A: We recommend that every couple develop a weather contingency plan. The contingency plan can be an indoor location of your choice and is typically your hotel venue, your reception venue, a chapel, or even a museum. There are many options that we can work with you on to develop a plan.
It is also important to know that almost all musicians would be unable to play their instruments in any kind of inclement weather, making a weather contingency plan even more important to your wedding planning.
- Q: Does my package include a reception?
-
A: The wedding packages do not include a reception. I Do New York does offer reception picnic packages that we can develop for you if you would like to have your reception in the park. We can also recommend reception venues for you in the city based on your needs.

- Q: Do you provide transportation to our ceremony?
-
A: Packages do not include transportation, but we can gladly recommend great options for you, ranging from limousine services to horse and carriage rides.
- Q: How do I arrive at my location in the park?
-
A: Transportation by vehicle is not permitted within the park. We will provide you with the cross streets near the entrance closest to your ceremony location. We will also provide staff to help direct your guests to the location of your ceremony. Depending on the location of your ceremony, you may utilize pedi-cabs or a horse and carriage to arrive at your ceremony in the park.
- Q: Do I have a rehearsal for my ceremony?
-
A: Within the week prior to your ceremony, we schedule a walk-through of your ceremony in the park. Walk-throughs can be scheduled during our business hours of Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM.
