Favorite Central Park place: Where do I begin ... maybe with the Schaeffer Concerts in the 70's ... it was the ultimate party ... so many amazing bands ... Poco, Jeff Beck, Blood Sweat & Tears, Ten Years After, Mountain, The Band, BB King, Edgar Winter, Allman Brothers, Fleetwood Mac and on and on and on ... what an amazing time! (Check out their website - the owner of the now defunct CBGB's [can't believe CB's is gone) was one of the promoters (I think Delsner was the other). The shows cost $2.00 to sit in the rink and I think $1.50 to sit in the bleachers overlooking the rink (the surrounding rocks, banks, hills were FREE and oh so crowded) I've been walking and photographing the Park since the very early 70's. I love this city!
