I live on an island 4 miles long & 2 miles wide, so bicycling makes sense for a lot of us, including me. Plus it's fun. Time to get myself another kite, too. Is writing an activity? Perhaps so, in that it requires steadily applied effort and sustained focus. But when there's enough wind in the sails, the reward eclipses all expenditure of time and energy.
