Society gathers at Central Park’s 35th Hat Luncheon

More than 1,200 well-dressed guests in a variety of fanciful fedoras, brilliant boaters and creative chapeaus flocked to a large marquee in the park for the 35th anniversary of the event, officially called the Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon.

The event raised $4.5 million, which goes directly to maintaining Central Park.
