Bon Jovi To Play Central Park
May 07, 2008
Bon Jovi is planning a date in Central Park this summer. In a new interview with SportsIllustrated.com, Jon Bon Jovi is quoted as saying, "We always end every tour at Giants Stadium, but we're going to do Central Park this year. That hasn't been announced yet, but there you go, we're doing Central Park."No date has been set for the show, and a Bon Jovi source says that there's "nothing confirmed. A lot of approvals have to be gotten."
So far Bon Jovi's only announced North American shows for the summer are the Sarnia Bayfest in Ontario on July 6 and the Palace of Auburn Hills in suburban Detroit on July 7. The group wraps up its current North American tour Wednesday and Thursday in Atlanta, then kicks off the European portion on May 22 in Gelsinkirchen, Germany. The tour is being filmed as part of a documentary by award-winning filmmaker Barbara Kopple.
