Pacino Honored at the Public Theatre Gala in Central Park

Al Pacino, the veteran actor, was honored at the Public Theater Gala in Central Park. Pacino is known to perform at the event entitled "Shakespeare in the Park." Oskar Eustis, the artistic director, presented Pacino with the sword he wielded as Marc Anthony in a Shakespeare in the Park production of "Julius Caesar" more than 20 years ago. During his speech, the "Godfather"star took the crowd back even further when he waxed poetic about attending the very first Shakespeare in the Park performance held at the Delacorte in 1962.
