Music in Central Park - virtually every musical genre imaginable is featured at sometime and someplace during the summer months in

Central Park. These include free performances by the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera on the Great Lawn, Summerstage at Rumsey Playfield and the concert series at Naumberg Bandshell. There are also a number of free events including the Harlem Meer Performance Festival. Schedules will be posted as soon as they are available. New York Philharmonic and Metropolitan Opera on the Great Lawn - Every Summer both of these world renowned companies perform for free under the stars on the Great Lawn. Check these links for more information.

Summerstage at Rumsey Playfield - Summerstage produces an amazing variety of music and dance throughout the summer months. Some are actually free.

Naumburg Bandshell Orchestral Concerts - This is the 100th anniversary of the Naumburg Bandshell concert series. This stage has hosted appearances by a wide array of musical talent, as well as Mayors La Guardia and Walker and Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.

Harlem Meer The Dana Discovery Center at the Harlem Meer is the site for this series of musical performances, each one featuring a different international style.
