Central Park is a romantic and picturesque place to have a wedding. That’s why we’ve partnered with I Do New York and Event Design Incorporated - one of the top event planning firms in the country - to make planning all aspects of your special day in Central Park a simple and enjoyable experience.
We offer all-inclusive Central Park Wedding Ceremony and Renewal Ceremony packages. We can take care of everything from your permit to your flowers. We also offer venue referrals for receptions or can help you with a picnic-style reception. Please take a look at our customizable packages. The easiest way to get started is to put down an initial 5% wedding package deposit to get your planning started. All payments can be made safely and securely through PayPal. Bear in mind, we are also happy to customize a package that will best suit your wedding ceremony needs.
Some places we recommend for weddings include the Conservatory Garden, Ladies Pavilion, the Pond, Cherry Hill, Cop Cot, Bethesda Terrace, Belvedere Plaza, Wagner Cove, Summit Rock and Harlem Meer. The best way to narrow down your choices is to do so by the number of guests that will be attending. Each location has a specific guest limit. The maximum number of guests allowed for a ceremony in Central Park is 200.
One of the most popular wedding venues in Central Park is the Conservatory Garden, located at Fifth Avenue and 105th Street. Ceremonies and photography sessions at the Conservatory Garden require permits. You can get your permit for the Conservatory Garden at the Central Park Conservancy by calling 212-360-2766 or you can download the application online. For any other location in Central Park, you can download the application from the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation’s website. If you plan to have less than 20 people at your wedding ceremony in a location outside of the Conservatory Garden, you are not required to purchase a permit. However, we highly recommend getting a permit to guarantee your space.
Please keep in mind that chairs, tents, tables, rugs, runners, throwing of rice, birdseed, flowers and confetti, or anything else that will affect the soil is not allowed in Central Park. There are exceptions to the use of chairs for the elderly or disabled. They also do not allow alcohol, candles, or amplified sound. Acoustic music is permitted.
