Having you wedding ceremony in Central Park can be a truly magical experience, combining all New York City's metropolitan style and energy with the natural splendors of the park. Of course there are a few technicalities that must be addressed before hand, while top hat and tails are optional the paperwork isn't.
By far the most popular place in the park for both weddings and photography is the Conservatory Garden. There is a permit and fee required for both. For more information click here, or call 212-360-2766, Monday - Friday.
There are many other popular places for wedding ceremonies in the park. These include The Pond, Cherry Hill, Bow Bridge, Shakespeare Garden, the Mall, Hernshead, the Pool, and the Harlem Meer. Permits are also required for these and other areas of Central Park and there is a fee.
