One of the most important components of successful nuptial celebrations is the photographic record of the event.  Central Park features some of the most amazing scenery in New York City so you'll want to be sure to have all the information and resources you need to make your wedding album a treasure for years to come.  Below you'll find information and links to assist you with planning, and a few suggestions for services our CentralPark.com wedding planning team can provide.

By far the most popular venue for wedding photography in Central Park is Conservatory Garden, located at 5th avenue and 105th street and divided into three smaller gardens that each exhibit their own character and charm. The Conservatory Garden features an extensive collection of flowers and shrubs that are in bloom from early spring to late fall. A permit is required if you are interested in taking photos at Conservatory Garden. 

Other popular places for wedding photographs include The Pond, Cherry Hill, Bow Bridge, Shakespeare Garden, East Green, Cedar Hill, the Mall, Hernshead, the 100th Street Pool, and the Harlem Meer.  For information, please call the Special Events & Permits Office of the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation at 212-408-0226. Surprise Proposal: This is a very romantic way to make a special moment even more spectacular. We make

contact via email, phone, or both to organize time, place, and all other important issues. You are "met" at your desired proposal location and we secretly get candid shots of the two of you before the big moment. Then we capture the proposal itself! Afterwards, we take some posed shots of the newly engaged couple at locations in the vicinity.

Engagement: Let Central Park be the beautiful backdrop for your engagement photographs. We’ll shoot in a wide ranging variety of locations throughout the park with an opportunity for a change of clothing if you desire. Whether you want to get creative, stick to more classic poses or a bit of both, we’ll make it an enjoyable experience for the both of you.

Wedding: Your wedding will be photographed with all of the traditional shots included, as well as some uniques pictures that advantage of the parks amazing scenery.

Trash The Dress: The wedding is over, you’re back from your honeymoon, relaxed and happy with no more stress of the big day looming over you. Now it’s time for some fun! Get that dress on again and we’ll take some creative, cool, fun shots that you couldn’t get on the actual wedding day (for fear of getting the dress dirty, hence “trash the dress”). If the hubby’s still got his tux (or even if it’s just a cool suit), bring him along as well. It’s a really unusual and fantastic way to get some romantic and artistic shots (and you get a chance to wear the dress again!)
