The Map It system is unique in the fact that not only can you locate feature or landmark inside Central Park, you can also zoom in on that location and display it in high resolution.

There are simple navigation controls on the right of each Map It panel (as represented in the picture to the right).

At the top there is there is a miniature version of the map which displays a red rectangle. This rectangle represents the area of the map that is currently being diplayed in the Map It panel. By placing your cursor over the rectangle you can click and drag the area to another part of the map you wish to view. The change in view will then be reflected in the Map It panel.

Just below the small map there are five buttons, four arrows and a dial. By clicking on the arrows you can navigate around the map in the corresponding direction. The dial button returns the map to full view.

Below the buttons there is a crosshatched line with a plus or minus sign at each end. By clicking on the plus or minus signs you can control the amount of magnification displayed in the Map It panel.
