What is AIDS Walk New York?: AIDS Walk New York is an annual fundraising walk sponsored by the Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC). 2006 marks the 21st year of AIDS Walk New York, which has raised more than $250 million for AIDS charities nationwide. Hundreds of New Yorkers and out-of-towners walk to raise money to help people with HIV and AIDS.
The 10-kilometer (6.2 mile) walk begins and ends in Central Park. The event will also feature all-star entertainment -- including appearances by the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy boys.
