In honor of the Conservancy's 35th anniversary, the movies that will be shown are all 35 years old.....flash back to the 80's.
All films are screened in the landscape north of Sheep Meadow, near the cafe (mid-Park at 69th Street, at 8 p.m. rain of shine. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and films will be closed-captioned. Bring a blanket or two, as well as a picnic dinner and popcorn, and then enjoy the following movies:
Tuesday, August 25: Fame 1980 (R) Wednesday, August 26: The Blues Brothers 1980 (R) Thursday, August 27: Airplane 1980 (PG) Friday, August 28: Raging Bull 1980 (R) Saturday, August 29: Superman II 1980 (PG)
Time: Gates open at 6:30pm. All movies begin at 8:00pm.
Location:The festival will be held just north of the Sheep Meadow, between Sheep Meadow and the 72nd Street Terrace Drive. Please enter the Park at 72nd Street at Central Park West or Fifth Avenue.
What NOT to Bring: Glass bottles, video cameras, tape recorders, chairs and alcoholic beverages are not allowed. All bags may be searched.
