Free New York Philharmonic and Shanghai Symphony Concert

Classical music lovers will be happy to the learn that The New York Philharmonic, conducted by Andrey Boreyko, and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, conducted by its music director Long Yu, will share the stage at the Great Lawn for a free concert in Central Park on Tuesday, July 13th.
The show starts at 8PM and marks the opening of the New York Philharmonic's 46th season of Concerts in the Parks. Scores to be played during the performance include: the Polonaise from Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and Ravel's Boléro.
Sponsored by Target and the MetLife Foundation, the musical performance will be followed by a fireworks show.
