Guided Bird Walks with Birding Bob
to
Have you ever wondered about all the birds that call Central Park home? Dr. Robert DeCandido, PhD, better known around Central Park as "Birding Bob," has been leading guided walks in the park for over 20 years. He hosts a series of walks through Central Park along with Deb Allen, a noted New York City bird and nature photographer.
When: Mondays at 9am. (Bob will arrive at 8 am to explore the immediate area for spring migrants, and at 9 am return to pick up the rest of the group. Birding is usually significantly better before 9 am here. So if you can, come early and then stay for the 9 am walk for free.)
Location: Meet at Strawberry Fields, next to the John Lennon Imagine, right inside 72nd Street and Central Park.
Cost: $10
Most bird walks last about three hours, but you are free to leave at any time. Binoculars may be rented in advance.
