Feature Film: Hyenas (Djibril Diop Mambety, Senegal, 1992) — 113 minutes
Wolof with English subtitles. Mambety's second and last feature adapts a timeless parable of human greed into a biting satire of today's Africa, where the hopes of independence are betrayed for the empty promises of Western materialism.
