Mother's Day R Baby Run/Walk

According to R Baby's research, 30,000 newborns, the tiny lives that help a mom-to-be actually become a mother, do not live to see Mother's Day in their first year of life.  To reverse this startling statistic, R Baby started a Run/Walk through Central Park on Mother's Day.

2010 marks the second year on Sunday, May 9th.  From 8AM until noon, participants can gather mid-park at 72nd Street for a myriad of events: a 4-mile run, a 1.3 mile Health Walk, a kids' Fun Run and the R Mother Awards, which will honor special moms.  Also during the day there will be live entertainment, sports clinics, arts and crafts and other family-friendly activities.

Last year over 9,000 people came out to show support and $750,000 was raised for pediatric emergency care.  The goal for 2010 is to increase these numbers and improve the emergency medical care of babies all over the world.
