Nocturnal Woodlands Walk

This month, take a break from the buzzing nightlife of NYC to experience a different kind of nightlife in Central Park’s North Woods! After mingling over complimentary refreshments in the Dana Center, Regina Alvarez, Central Park Conservancy Woodlands Expert, will lead you on an awe-inspiring walk by the Harlem Meer and through the woods in pursuit of an after-dark serenity that is near impossible to find elsewhere in Manhattan. Leave the street lights behind to see the glowing moonlight, hear the sound of the waterfall and the crickets chirping, and perhaps catch a glimpse of elusive nocturnal creatures including Eastern Screech Owls and raccoons. Wear comfortable shoes and warm outerwear.
