This brand-new race is inspired by the incredible culture and offerings of France. Come out for a family-friendly event with kids’ races, and celebrate France with a New York twist. This event offers something for everyone: nearly five French miles in Central Park, excellent giveaways, including delicious treats, a technical shirt for every registrant, and fantastic raffle prizes like a trip to Paris on Air France. This race is sold out.
The France Festival will be at the Naumburg Bandshell, located mid-park between 66th and 72nd Streets, throughout the duration of the event for runners and visitors to enjoy. The festival will feature a variety of complimentary offerings by French vendors, including delicious refreshments like crepes, biscuits, fruit teas and fun activities to learn more about the country, culture and language.
Course Info
Mile 1: Start on East Drive at 66th Street and head north, ascending Cat Hill.
Mile 2: Continue north on a flat and downhill section and pass Engineers’ Gate (East 90th Street)and the 102nd Street Transverse.
Mile 3: Run past Lasker Pool and around the top of the park, through the Harlem Hills to West Drive.
Mile 4: Continue south on West Drive through a series of three rolling hills as you pass the Reservoir on your left.
Mile 5: Enjoy a downhill, then a flat section. Turn left onto the 72nd Street Transverse and finish just west of Bethesda Terrace.
