Sponsored by the New York Road Runners and ABC7, the 5-mile race is co-ed and all proceeds raised are donated to the fight against prostate cancer.
Starting at 8:30 AM, the run will continue north to the 102nd Street Transverse and then head east across the park and down East Drive. It will continue in the lower part of Central Park until runners hit the West Drive adjacent to Tavern on the Green.
In addition to this morning run, there will be kid's races later at 10:15 AM so fathers' can cheer for their children.
Post-race, participants and their families are welcomed to attend a festival with face-painting and the opportunity to win prizes in a raffle drawing. Also, free prostate-cancer screenings will be provided by the Hackensack University Medical Center.
