NYRR - TCS New York City Marathon

TCS New York City Marathon, is a traditional 26.2 mile race, with runners beginning the race on Staten Island and ending it at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. Starting a week before, closures and barricades will start lining many of the roads and entrances into and around Central Park.
Pre-race coverage will be carried live in the New York Tri-State area on WABC-TV, Channel 7 from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, November 1. Additional race-weekend programming on WABC-TV, Channel 7 includes live coverage of the TCS New York City Marathon Opening Ceremony Presented by United Airlines on Friday, October 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and the Countdown to the Starting Line on Saturday, October 31, from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. ET. Pre-race and race coverage on Sunday, November 1 is available to stream live on WATCH ABC and ESPN3 (accessible on WatchESPN platforms). The brand-new TCS New York City Marathon Pavilion will open for runners and fans in Central Park on Monday, October 26, steps from the iconic finish line of the 2015 TCS New York City Marathon. To learn more about the Pavillion, click here.
Oct. 29 to Oct. 31: Health and Wellness Expo Runners can pick up their bib numbers here and treat themselves to some free snacks before the big race. More than 100 vendors and exhibitors will be on hand to answer any questions at this three-day expo. The expo, at the Jacob K. Javitis Convention Center, will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 30, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Halloween.
Oct. 30: Opening Ceremony Marathon weekend will kick off with a parade showcasing runners from around the world. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with grandstand seating open on a first come basis at 4 p.m. Visitors can attend the procession at Central Park, entering through West 66th Street.
Oct. 31: NYC Marathon Champions Tell All The Museum of the City of New York is joining in on the marathon festivities with an exhibition that celebrates the history of the race. On Halloween , the Museum will host a conversation between Marathon founder, George Hirsch, and two racing legends, Bill Rodgers and German Silva. Rodgers won the N.Y. race and the Boston Marathon four times, and Silva is the 1994 and 1995 New York City Marathon winner. The events starts at 3 p.m. and “The New York City Marathon: The Great Race” exhibition opened Oct. 20.
