This race honors Ted Corbitt (1919-2007), the first president of New York Road Runners, the first African American to compete in the Olympic marathon, and an ultramarathon pioneer who ran more than 200,000 miles in his lifetime!

Course info:
Start on East Drive south of 102nd Street and head north to the 102nd Street Cross Drive. Turn left, cross the Transverse, then turn left again onto West Drive. Run south to the 72nd Street Transverse; turn left and cross the Transverse to East Drive. Turn left and head north, past the start.
Repeat the first part of the course (again crossing the 102nd Street Cross Drive and running down West Drive), but this time, run past the 72nd Street Transverse, around the bottom of the park, and past the 72nd Street Transverse again. Continue to the 102nd Street Cross Drive and make a final left turn to the finish on the Transverse.
