Shakespeare Garden 100th Anniversary
The Garden, dedicated to the memory of William Shakespeare in 1916, is reminiscent of Shakespeare’s native English countryside and features flowers, plants, and shrubs mentioned in the Bard’s writings. The Garden’s diverse array of plants, including columbine, primrose, wormwood, quince, lark’s heel, rue, eglantine, flax, and cowslip, are accompanied by small plaques featuring quotations from Shakespearean works that reference the Garden’s flowers.
The Conservancy is offering a diverse collection of programming this spring in celebration of the Shakespeare Garden’s 100th anniversary. All programs take place at Belvedere Castle.
