About the Artists
Toribio
Previously featured in MetLiveArts’ Sonic Cloisters series, Toribio is a Dominican New Yorker, multi instrumentalist by way of Tampa and leader of the band Conclave.
Toribio expands the palette of what dance music is, fusing his Dominican roots, afro-cuban latin riddims and 90s hip-hop to create a cultural melting pot that signals a change in the guard for NYC House Music.
His live shows and BDA (Bring Dat Ass) nights channels house, techno, acid, disco, electro, hip-hop and Latin into a genre-less set.
