For the 2025 Roof Garden Commission, Jennie C. Jones presents Ensemble, her second outdoor sculptural work, which investigates both the visual and sonic qualities of stringed instruments as symbols of continuous art history. Drawing from Black avant-garde music, her multidisciplinary work challenges minimalist abstraction by integrating sound, acoustic materials, and musical references to offer new perspectives on modernism.
This exhibition will be on display through October 19th, 2025.
