Aug 14, 2023 - With a heartwarming gesture, 8-year-old entrepreneur Julian Lin is using his Central Park lemonade stand in New York City to raise funds for those affected by the Hawaii wildfires.
In February, Lin and his mother visited the fire-affected region and crossed paths with Ryan, a boat guide. Tragically, Ryan's home was engulfed by the recent island blaze that swept through parts of the area last week.
The funds generated from the lemonade stand and the GoFundMe campaign will be allocated to three distinct purposes: supporting Ryan and his family, contributing to the Maui United Way, and aiding the Maui Humane Society.
On Sunday, Julian Lin's mother revealed that $2,408.50 from the raised funds has already been successfully directed towards the designated causes.
