Boating on the Lake

The Lake in Central Park, located centrally at East Drive between 74th and 75th Streets, is 22-acres wide and a great place to spend the day boating.  Renting a boat from Loeb Boathouse is easy with a new fleet of 100 row boats and three kayaks.

Weather permitting, boat rentals are available daily from April until October from the hours of 10AM until dusk.  A cash deposit of $20 is needed.  The boat is $12 for the first hour and $2.50 for each additional quarter of an hour ($10 an hour).  Note that only cash is accepted.

Each boat can hold up to four individuals and the Boathouse even provides life jackets.  All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
