The Metropolitan Opera

In 2009, in hopes to inspire a new generation of Opera Lovers, The Metropolitan Opera launched its Summer Recital Series and presented free concerts in collaboration with City Parks Foundation.  The outdoor operatic recitals take place throughout the parks in New York City and of course, Central Park'sRumsey Playfield is the location that kicks off the series.
