SummerStage

Summerstage is an annual performing arts festival that is held each year at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. Privately funded by City Parks Foundation, Summerstage has hosted a total of 2,079 performances at 950 events over its 25 years in existence.
The festival draws artists from around the globe; past participants have included David Bowie, Patti Smith, and Sonic Youth. More recently, Summerstage has featured performances by the Black Keys, the Flaming Lips, and Sonic Youth. Artist Celia Cruz’s final performance took place at Summerstage.
