Magnolia Soulangiana

The magnolia soulangiana tree is a member of the Magnoliaceae family. It is very popular throughout the United States and in England. It is a hybrid tree, and is unusually hardy and resistant to chill. Because of this, it is a popular tree in Central Park. Its leaves range in color from dark green to bronze, while its flowers can be found in pink, white, or purple. Its large blooms are characterized by lush, wide petals, which appear in April and throughout the spring, and its flowers have a mild, pleasant scent.
