Learn how in New York's Central Park on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 6 am until 8:30 am. The Century Road Club Association, a venerable New York group, charges a mere $10 for coaching, a simulated three-lap race, marshaling and even a water bottle.
The event is open to men 18 and older. The group assembles near the Ramble on the East Side Drive of Central Park at 81st street.
If you are among the top three racers, you'll win a free Spiuk helmet. All bikes must have front and rear brakes, and aerobars are not allowed.
