New York Seeks to Hold Olympic Marathon Trial in Central Park

The New York Road Runner's Club today submitted a proposal for holding the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in New York's Central Park. The trials are to be held November 7th, 2007, two day's before the scheduled running of the New York Marathon. Joining them are Boston, Minneapolis and Akron, Ohio, also as bidders. USA Track and Field, which controls the sport in the U.S., said it probably would pick the host city in early April.
