Judging by the giant patchwork quilt of picnic blankets that rolls out over the Great Lawn in Central Park on concert nights, plenty of New Yorkers know about the performances by the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera in Central Park. But these concerts are far from the only free classical music to be heard in the city's greenest precinct.
