Great Horned Owl Sighted in North Woods
January 29, 2006
Usually found far to the north and rarely visiting New York City a Great Horned Owl Has made Central Park its home for the past six weeks. While the Central Park Conservancy will not reveal the exact location the bird has been spotted in the North Woods, and it shouldn't be that hard to pick out among the bare branches of mid-winter - the Owl stands about two feet tall and has a wingspan between four and five feet.
