Conservancy Renews Agreement For Managing Park

The city has renewed its contract with the private nonprofit group that took over much of the day-to-day management of Central Park in 1998. The commissioner, Adrian Benepe, signed a renewal of the agreement with the Central Park Conservancy on Friday, April 28th. He and the president of the conservancy, Douglas Blonsky, had extended the old contract when it expired last year, and negotiated the new deal in recent months.more..
