One of the most picturesque, and romantic, ways to visit Central Park is
riding inside one of the many colorful horse-drawn carriages that que up every day just across from the Plaza Hotel on Central Park South and 5th Ave. Popular all year round - either enjoying a soft summer breeze or all bundled up beneath the snug seat blankets to keep out the winter chill - the carriages provide a peak back to gaslight New York and it's easy to imagine Diamond Jim Brady sharing an after dinner ride with Lily Langtree.
