I love Central Park and the discovery of all its grandeur and magic. This day I was by the Bow Bridge when I spotted a raccoon taking a mid-day nap nearly 75' up in a blooming tree! Olmstead and Vaux clearly achieved their vision of creating a space

    Yes, they are still there. They used to be a ton by Tavern on the Green. Since they closed, the raccoons have moved into the park around 72nd Street. So don't forget to look up high or low. They are out day and night. Good luck!

    Wow, you are lucky to see a raccoon in the park these days. There used to be many, but now its months since I've seen any. Glad to know there's a couple still around. Nice picture!
