Central Park Film Festival

Each year in August, the Central Park Conservancy hosts a week of free evening film screenings.

This year in 2014, the festival takes place from August 18-22 and the theme is "Scenes from our City", focusing on films where New York plays a prominent role. 

2014 Central Park Film Festival Schedule

The event is FREE and all films will be shown rain or shine:

Monday, August 18: Big 1988 (PG)
Tuesday, August 19: The Royal Tenenbaums 2001 (R)
Wednesday, August 20: The Way We Were 1973 (PG)
Thursday, August 21: Coming to America 1988 (R)
Friday, August 22: Rear Window 1954 (PG)

Time: Gates open at 6:30pm. All movies begin at 8:00pm.

Location: The festival will be held just north of the Sheep Meadow, between Sheep Meadow and the 72nd Street Cross Drive (Enter mid-Park at E. 69th St.)

What to Bring: Bring a picnic and a blanket. 

What NOT to Bring: Glass bottles, video cameras, tape recorders, chairs and alcoholic beverages are not allowed. All bags may be searched.
