Central Park Film Festival
Each year during the month of August, Central Park hosts a week of evening film screenings at Rumsey Playfield.
2012 marks the 10th annual Central Park Film Festival. This year, the theme of each movie is music and covers everything from rock to country, salsa, jazz and soul. Guest DJ's will play at 6:30pm every night and all movies will be close captioned.
All screenings begin at 8:00pm. Gates open at 6:30pm. Guest DJ's play at 6:30pm. Attending is free.
Enter the park at E. 72nd street. The festival will be held just north of the Sheep Meadow beside the cafe.
Don't forget to bring a picnic! Please note that glass bottles, video cameras, tape recorders or flash cameras are not allowed and all bags may be searched.
