Each year in August, the Central Park Conservancy hosts a week of free evening film screenings.

This year the festival takes place in Central Park from August 24-27. There are also two nights of screenings from Aug 22-23 at Marcus Garvey Park. Please refer to the Central Park Conservancy's website for details about the screenings.  

The event is FREE and all films are subject to weather cancellation.

Monday, Aug. 22: School of Rock (Marcus Garvey Park)
Tuesday, Aug. 23: The Last Dragon (Marcus Garvey Park)

Wednesday, Aug. 24:  I Am Legend (PG-13 - 2007)
Thursday, Aug. 25:  Tootsie (PG - 1982)
Friday, Aug. 26:  Desperately Seeking Susan (PG-13 - 1982)
Saturday, Aug. 27: Stuart Little (PG - 1999)

Time: Gates open at 6:30pm, with a live DJ. All movies begin at 8:00pm.

Details: Tickets are not required. All movies are open captioned. Event is subject to cancellation due to weather.

Location: Monday and Tuesday at Marcus Garvey Park (Amphitheater, enter on Fifth Avenue and 124th Street)

Wednesday - Saturday in Central Park will be held on the landscape between Sheep Meadow and the 72nd Street Cross Drive. Please enter the Park at 72nd Street at Central Park West or Fifth Avenue.

What to Bring: Bring a picnic and a blanket. 

What NOT to Bring: Glass bottles, video cameras, tape recorders, chairs and alcoholic beverages are not allowed. All bags may be searched.
