- NYC has discontinued the Key to NYC vaccination requirement as of March 7th, 2022. Businesses can still choose to require proof of vaccination.
Restrooms
Most restrooms are open and cleaned daily. See locations of restrooms.
Attractions
Central Park Zoo is open daily 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5:30 on weekends). All visitors must still purchase a date-specific ticket online. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required to visit indoor exhibits. Masks are not required, and can be used based on personal preference. Zoo policies are subject to change.
Swedish Cottage Marionette Theater is reopened for performances as of February 2022.
Visitor Centers
The Charles A. Dana Discovery Center will be open Wednesday to Sunday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The visitor center at Chess & Checkers House is still closed as of June 2022.
Special Event Permits
Permits can be requested for events of up to 200 people. More info here.
Grilling Areas
Grilling in Central Park is still only permitted 3 days per year.
Suspended or closed until further notice:
Catch & Release Fishing program is suspended due to algae in the water. The program will resume again in the Spring of 2023.
Visitor Centers temporarily closed:
Lasker Pool & Rink - closed for renovation until 2024.
The Conservatory Garden will be restored over the course of 2022 and 2023. As the work progresses, different areas will be closed to allow for work being done. Construction in the South garden has begun as of January 2022.
