Canada Day SummerStage

Canada Day at SummerStage showcases three singer-songwriters.

Bringing a taste of the country's progressive folk scene, the Canadian consulate showcases three singer-songwriters to exhibit the gentle side of our northern neighbors.

Performers include:

• Andy Shauf - was quite literally raised in a music shop, growing up to write smart, sensitive songs that evoke the mellow vocal tones of Paul Simon or Belle & Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch.
• Leith Ross -  best known for their viral hit “We’ll Never Have Sex,” writes about the trans non-binary experience with a vulnerable candor, often finding magic in the mundane. 
• Yves Jarvis - Montreal’s prolific songwriter and producer creates metaphysical experiences with an ever-expanding and richly textured palette. His 2022 LP The Zug tempers his persistent optimism with a caustic wit; his last two efforts were longlisted for the Polaris prize, awarded to the best Canadian album regardless of genre, sales, or record label.
