Colon Cancer Challenge

The 2007 Colon Cancer Challenge, a 1.7 Remembrance & Prevention Walk, a 4 mile run, and a 15K Run, in Central Park on Sunday March 11th. It is the premier colorectal cancer awareness event for metropolitan New York. It provides a unique opportunity for the public, survivors, friends and family to contribute to the fight against this preventable disease.
The Challenge is presented by the New York Daily News, in conjunction with the New York Road Runners, in collaboration with the Colon Cancer Alliance, and with the assistance of Type Matters. Sponsors include: Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Pfizer Oncology, Sabofi-Aventis, Autosuture Division of US Surgical, NYC Health Department, WABC-7, and GHI.
Funds raised benefit Partners in Prevention, a joint initiative of Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Cancer Center, with a focus on colon cancer awarness, screening, prevention, advocacy, treatment, and research.
