Colon Cancer Challenge

The New York Colon Cancer Challenge is the premier colorectal cancer awareness event for New York metropolitan area and the nation providing a unique opportunity for the public, survivors, and families to raise awareness and contribute to the fight against this preventable but often fatal disease. It includes a 4-mile run, a 15K run and a 1.7-mile Remembrance and Prevention Walk in Central Park. Funds raised directly support The Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation’s missions of: Increasing public awareness about colorectal cancer and its prevention Encouraging early colorectal cancer screenings for all Educating health care providers and the public Support the Colon Cancer Alliance, C5 (Citywide Colon Cancer Control Coalition), and other groups Supporting and conducting research into the causes of and cures for colorectal cancer Supporting young scientific investigators; the Future of Colon Cancer Research For additional information, e-mail   info@ColonCancerChallenge.org.
