Join in on the free weekly fitness classes held at the Charles A. Dana Center at the Harlem Meer. Take this chance to meet new friends, learn something new, or just enjoy summer in your own backyard.
Free registration is required for all classes, except Double Dutch with Double Dutch Dreamz. In addition to registration, all fitness participants are required to fill out the fitness waiver here. This waiver is good for all fitness classes of the 2023 season – you only need to fill it out once! Those under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian complete the form on their behalf.
Programs
DOUBLE DUTCH WITH DOUBLE DUTCH DREAMZ
The double Dutch program invites individuals of all skill levels, including beginners, to participate in a joyful fitness experience that fosters community connection, preserving cherished traditions of wholesome play with a meaningful mission.

FAMILY YOGA CLASS WITH HARLEM YOGA
Experience family yoga where adults and children (from toddlers and up) come together to learn and practice yoga through engaging activities, games, discussions, music, and the inspiration of nature and New York City landmarks. Foster fun exploration of poses and movement for children while allowing adults to stretch, strengthen, and bond with their young yogis.
Please bring your own mat or towel. A limited number of mats will be provided while supplies last.

SILVER SNEAKERS DANCE CLASS WITH GO HARD DANCE (SENIORS)
This exclusive class for seniors aims to enhance muscle strength, improve range of movement, and enhance daily activities through seated and standing exercises utilizing a chair for support.

BEGINNER / OPEN-LEVEL VINYASA YOGA WITH HARLEM YOGA
This class offers yoga beginners an opportunity to learn fundamental yoga poses in a mindful and meditative flow, while allowing more seasoned practitioners to get back to basics and deepen their practice. Students are given various options to find the benefit of stretching and strengthening even if they are working with a limitation or injury. Classes will include warm-ups and sun salutations, balancing, back bends, forward bends, and/or twists. Each class ends with a guided deep relaxation.

FUNKAEROBICS WITH GO HARD DANCE
Funkearobics is a high-energy, one-hour class that combines stretching, working out, and dance choreography, allowing adults of all levels to infuse aerobic techniques with classic dance moves, recreating iconic dance routines from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, providing the ultimate dance experience.
Participants aged 13 and older are welcome to join.
