Holidays in Lincoln Square
Step into the spirit of the holiday season in Lincoln Square!
Special events, activities, and entertainment make Lincoln Square a magical destination for the holidays!
December 4th
The holiday season in Lincoln Square lights up with the Magical Lights Ceremony on Thursday, December 4, at Dante Park, where the community gathers to illuminate the area alongside live music and family-friendly festivities.
December 17th
The celebrations continue on Wednesday, December 17, with the BID’s annual WinteRamble, an enchanting neighborhood procession featuring illuminated Frost Giant puppets and icicle lanterns led by Processional Arts Workshop. Attendees can make mini-lanterns, carry lanterns, or simply join the walk to be part of this cherished holiday tradition.
Ongoing Throughout the Season
Throughout the season, Lincoln Square offers much more to enjoy: after experiencing world-class performances at Lincoln Center or the excitement of the Big Apple Circus, visitors can stroll along Broadway past the nightly Star Show at The Shops at Columbus Circle to witness light displays across the BID’s ten Broadway Malls—from West 60th to 70th Street.
Dante and Richard Tucker Parks come alive each night with interactive light and sound shows that shift colors in response to singing, clapping, music, and even the sounds of New York City. The interactive display features hundreds of dazzling lights hanging like vines from eight giant London Plane trees. Nightly from 4:30 PM, throughout December.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Fabulous Fezziwigs carol throughout the neighborhood, spreading holiday cheer.
