Y La Bamba SummerStage

A unique mix of female artists will have you floating through Central Park.

An all female lineup of eclectic artists from Australia, Oregon, and the Swinomish Reservation in Washington.

The artists include:

• Julia Jacklin - An Australian singer-songwriter that draws from The Andrews Sisters, Björk, and Billy Bragg in equal measure. Julia Jacklin makes understated rock songs that pack a strong emotional heft. 
• Y La Bamba - (pictured above) is a Latin indie alternative/experimental band led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Luz Elena Mendoza. She is a first generation Mexican American, and sings in both English and Spanish. (editors pick!)
• Black Belt Eagle Scout - The latest album The Land, the Water, the Sky revisits a trip to singer Katherine Paul’s ancestral land in the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community.
